Musically it involves cod versions of such classics as "Jungle Bums" and Little Donkey played on a tuneless recorder. But it is Carpet's tongue-in-cheek view of that British icon, the school nativity play, that provides the real fun. How else could you explain a David Bowie action man descending from the heavens to tell Mary and Joseph there is no room for them at the Bethlehem Travelodge? “
